University and College Students: Become an Intern

Become an intern with the Center for Relationship Abuse Awareness!

All students — women and men, undergraduate and graduate — can become involved with this exciting internship!

  • Interns are an essential part of the Center for Relationship Abuse Awareness and will work to educate communities, institutions, and young leaders to take collective action against gender violence.
  • Interns will have the opportunity to gain professional experience in non-profit development and operations.
  • Students from all academic fields are welcome to apply, the Center provides specialized opportunities for students in a variety of disciplines to participate in the gender violence prevention movement.
  • Intern positions require flexibility. We assign projects based on student’s unique interests, as well as on the Center’s current needs and grant obligations.

This is not a paid position, but the following options are available:

  • Community Service Work-Study (if you are eligible)
  • Practicum (i.e. HumBio or Feminist Studies)
  • Course Credit (talk to your department to determine if you are eligible)

Summer Internships

To be a summer intern you must commit to the following:

  • Work for at least 10 weeks over summer (full 3 months preferred)
  • Part-time (20hrs/wk) and Full-Time (30-40hrs/wk) positions available
  • Intern with the Center for 2-3 quarters in addition to summer, for at least 5hrs/wk

Join a Student Committee

Join a Student Committee to End Violence Against Women! Become a student leader in one of the following campus committees:

  • Sorority Committee
  • Fraternity Committee
  • Athlete Committee to End Violence Against Women
  • Graduate Student Committee to End Violence Against Women
  • International Student Committee
